Delivery Format

This two-week management training course is delivered by accredited trainers who adapt the core materials to their local environment.  The course design builds on adult learning principles, adopting a participatory approach that uses role plays, debates, exercises and case studies to give participants practical opportunities to apply the concepts they are learning. 

A critical element of the design is an Individual Action Plan that is built by each participant throughout the course.  Its two-part approach records actions that participants themselves plan to take when they return to their institutions as well as recommendations for action by others within their institution.  

The two weeks of content can be delivered consecutively or in two, one-week sessions with a break in between.  The course is intense, covering 24 topics and delivering eight hours of content each day. 

Course materials are currently available in English, Spanish, French, Arabic, Portuguese and Vietnamese.  They will soon be available in Russian.
